The founder

The operator behind Indian hospitality in Oslo.

Baljit grew up inside hospitality — in kitchens, dining rooms and service rhythms shaped by his father's pioneering work in Oslo. Today, he leads a hospitality platform serving more than 7,500 guests every month through a 90-strong team and a growing portfolio of concepts across Oslo.

Across New Delhi, Holy Cow, Listen to Baljit, Masala Politics, Barish, Lille Dilli and new projects such as New Delhi Bergen, the pattern is clear: Baljit has repeatedly explored new ways of presenting Indian food and hospitality — from flagship dining to streetfood, cocktails, food halls, culture and premium destination concepts.

The family's first room opened in Øvre Slottsgate in 1985 and moved to the Tjuvholmen waterfront in 2018. Today it remains the flagship of the group.
